ST. PAUL, MN -- BioE Inc. announced a partnership with the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Center to further its research into the potential of deriving stem cells from human umbilical cord blood. The goal of the research will be to examine whether or not the stem cells would be useful in the treatment of cancer by the utility of transporting anti-tumor therapies. The two partners have worked together before and the Anderson Center has previously used stem cells from bone marrow to act as anti-tumor transport vectors and proving efficacious in suppressing tumor growth.
